The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry defines persons with special healthcare needs as "individuals who have a physical, developmental, mental, sensory, behavioral, cognitive, or emotional impairment or limiting condition that requires medical management, health care intervention and/or the use of specialized services or programs." Our doctors have received extra training to provide excellent care for these special patients.
If necessary, children with special needs may receive their dental treatment under anesthesia at Childrens Hospitals and Clinics - Minneapolis and Minnetonka.
